Welcome to Food Fashion Party, a place where I talk about food, stories of how that came about, it’s simplicity and and how we can entertain with finesse  without all the fuss.  I consider food to be an ART. Now that said, I am the least artistic person, so how can I consider food Art and love everything about it..don’t know,…

Being creative with food, making it look every bit fancy yet keeping it simple to make is what I thrive for.

I am Indian and love mixing Indian spices with different cuisines, to create a very delicate and perfectly balanced concoction. Most of my food has a touch of Indian spices but in a modern way.

Behind The Food
Hi I’m Asha, living in SFO, a mom, foodie, an artist(in my mind), food photographer, experimentalist and an entertainer(i express my love that way).  I love creating new dishes and quite proud and not so humble about it.
Jumping into a whole new world, found cooking and feeding to be a solace.  Then, didn’t know that it would become my passion, hobby and something I crave to do everyday.. …Cooking and Baking for many years now,  I enjoy a good mix of spices from all around, could call it fusion.  It’s all about experimenting and I can without a doubt say, I learn something new everyday.  Cooking is therapeutic, and most of all allows my creativity to be shown.
Stay at home mum to two lovely boys and a husband who has a smile always is my inspiration in every step and brains behind the scenes.
I’ve learnt so much from my MOM, amma, friends and family, this blog is born because of them..love u all.
This blog has been a blessing, I feel accomplished in a way.  From watching reruns of Lucy’s show,  you tube make up videos and hovering over the boys to get work done to learning html,  patience, persistence and perseverance( a load of P’s;)…It is fun.

Behind the Lens

My hubby, G as he is fondly called by many is the artistic one among the two of us.  He is pretty good with the camera and how it works.  He understands lighting and how it affects food to a certain level.  He definitely helps me with my photographs.  I am more confident when he’s standing watching me while I take pictures, even if he’s not actively helping. A great guy who has a smile always, helps me to be calm and sane at time when I need it the most.  I LOVE him.

    Hi Ash,

I came across your blog while I was browsing through twitter photos. I wanted to say that you have an exquisitely beautiful blog with tons of wonderful recipes. I don’t usually cook a lot of Indian food but, you have developed some interesting recipes that I am eager to try out in my spare time. I am trying to connect with my fellow bay area bloggers and I am so glad that I came across your blog. Keep up the great work (which is very artistic indeed) 🙂
