Ingredients
  • 1 stick or 113 grams or ½ cup softened butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1¼ cup All purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp red food color
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Frosting:
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp white chocolate chips
  • Toasted cashews
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven 350 degrees. Line a baking tray.
  2. In a large bowl, whip the butter and sugar for about a min or until creamy. Stir in the egg, food color, vanilla extract and mix until completely blended. Mix in the Flour, cocoa and salt. Make a dough.
  3. Roll dough to any size balls you want. Placed it 2 inches apart on the baking sheet. Press a thumb or use a measuring spoon to make an indentation, be careful not to press all the way through.
  4. Bake for 12 minutes. All to cool on a rack.
  5. Melt the chocolate, let it cool, add the cream cheese, chopped cashews and mix well. Use a tsp of the frosting and top it in the indentation. Leave it to set for a while. Store in an airtight container.
